As an increasing number of individuals choose to reside in either apartments or properties featuring courtyard gardens, many traditional flowers and shrubs are no longer thriving.
Old-fashioned roses are witnessing a decline in popularity as a result. We observe them in their full splendour during the Melbourne Cup Carnival, which serves as a reminder of their beauty, not only in appearance but also in texture and fragrance.
My mother’s garden, which is over 50 years old, contains several very old roses among her well-established plants. Strolling through the garden of our “family home” during this season is a genuine pleasure, one that I continue to cherish.

Creating this piece brought me immense joy, and I sincerely hope that you all find as much enjoyment in it as I did.

Specifications:
Quality acrylics used giving long lasting rich pigmentation/lustre. Designed on acid free environmentally unbleached cotton duck, triple coated with universal primer, heavy duty stretcher bars were used to reduce warping.
Protective Matte Varnish applied. Signed by the artist and ready to hang.
