The inspiration for this painting was Margaret’s desire to contribute to the cost of the development of a kiosk in a parkland for the church she attends and if sold the money would go to this. Margaret chose to paint Saint Francis because she really likes how he devoted his life to the care if animals and the environment and the care of the poor and sick members of the community. The painting is in an Artist Birch Panel that has been gessoed. Art Spectrum oil paint and gel has been used to seal the painting. D hooks have been placed in the back and it may be hung .
