INFLUENCE:

Salty Rockscape. My love of exploring rock pools began when I was a young child, holidaying down at the beach. Not one to just build sandcastles and dabble in the water, I was an explorer, an archaeologist of the ocean. I wanted to discover what was under the seaweed perhaps to discover a new inhabitant of the ocean. Who knows. One one thing I loved the most was to go fossicking around the rock pools if I was lucky enough to come across some along the shoreline. With the salty air tickling my nostrils, the soft sand massaging my bare feet as I’d leave my footprints along the waters edge, I was on a mission of discovery.

This is my abstract interpretation of my wonderful memories of the beaches and beautiful waters which I love. Our oceans come in different colours from deep deep blue to tropical aqua and teal. Our sands which align the waters are white or cream in colour. We have rugged coastlines with no sand at all. Salty Rockscapes adorn some of our great beaches while others aren’t witness to a pebble.

SPECIFICATIONS:

Quality acrylics and inks used giving long lasting rich pigmentation/lustre. Designed on acid free environmentally unbleached cotton duck, triple coated with universal primer, heavy duty stretcher bars were used to reduce warping. Protective Matte Varnish applied. Signed by the artist and ready to hang.
