Inspired by the arid, mountainous landscape of Santa Clarita, this work reflects on the subtle interplay between terrain, light, and heat. I spent a week riding around Santa Clarita and loved watching the light change across the day.

Layers of spray paint and acrylic form a restrained palette, while fine hand stitching traces the contours of the land, introducing both structure and tactility. The composition captures the quiet shifts in colour and atmosphere that occur as daylight moves across the hills.
