Additional Information

Scar Pattern Country by Cara Shields is a contemporary view of the landscape of my childhood. Drawing inspiration from the intricate regrowth lines from Scar Trees present in the Dubbo area to the deep carvings lines of Dendroglpys Trees.

Three circles represent Wellington, Dubbo and Narromine.  Townships that are the traditional grounds of the Wiradjuri and Wongaibon people.

The pattern starts with a certain style of lines that lays the foundation. These foundation lines represent

Connection, Regrowth and Boundaries.

All seamlessly flowing into intricate linework that represent my cultural of the past, present and the future. Pinewood frame work.
