Scar Tree Country by Cara Shields – On Wiradjuri and Wangaibon Country, tree carving and bark removal was common.  The Stylized lines and dots represent my interpretation of regrowth lines from bark removal while also incorporating design elements of the deep carving lines.

Using the traditional pigment of white ochre sourced from the Dubbo area and acrylic is applied to create a contemporary aerial view of Wellington, Dubbo and Narromine.
