Additional Information

Scorched by Rosemary Legat – I started creating this abstract painting with only thoughts of sand and using a touch of moulding paste (for texture) in my design. It wasn’t  my intention to paint a representation of any obvious imagery.

Keeping to the  limited colour palette of yellow, white, blue and burnt umber, as this example of self-expression developed, only adding a touch of golden highlights at the end.

Scorched developed intuitively, conjuring up thoughts of a burnt and/or drought stricken landscape. I’ll leave it to each viewer to form and discover their own individual thoughts on what this artwork represents to them. Do you see the aftermath of a fire storm or drought, with dust or smoke in the clouds? Do you see something totally different in this intriguing artwork?

Rugged, yet beautiful.

This painting has been wrapped around the canvas edges.

Signed on the front.

As always, please check artwork dimensions as artwork photos are for display purposes only and may not be to scale.
