This painting is inspired by finding joy and hope in the natural environment, particularly by the seaside. Coastal landscapes evoke a sense of escape from the everyday; inhaling salty air, listening to the rhythm of the waves, lying on the sand and dreaming of the endless possibilities the future may hold. Created in Charlotte’s distinctive hard-edged style, Sea Song draws on physical elements of the beach landscape (the sea, cliffs, horizon etc) to form an uplifting composition. This painting continues Charlotte’s fascination with layering and juxtaposing vivid colour to play with opposing ideas of transparency and solidity, simplicity and complexity.

Sea Song is hand-signed on the front and back and is ready to hang with wire attached.
