My new series “Selfie’s” studies the deceptions of achievements, appearance and personality. The selfie is an instant communication of where we are and what we are doing. Unlike traditional self portraiture, selfies are spontaneous, casual, distorted and sometimes carefully staged. This current body of work explores narcissism, self absorption, success and insecurity. No matter how good you think you look, there’s something about posing for a selfie that might frame you in a bad light. Smile for the camera.
