Inspiration

Shadowplay is an original artwork inspired by watching afternoon shadows, in the bush, playing out onto a rocky outcrop.The colours of the rock changed depending on the shadow falling on them. The sunlight between the fallen shadows picked up the texture of the rock. I used my artist’s license to depict the juxtaposition of all the elements.

Materials used

Oil and Acrylic paint and charcoal are used with texture applied with a palette knife.
