Shipwreck

Original Semi-abstract Artwork

There are more than 8000 shipwrecks off the Australian Coast. Many are part of Australian folklore. Australia’s rugged coast and hidden reefs were the bain of many seamen particularly during the early days of sail and uncharted waters. My semi-abstract work seeks to capture the possible scene of one of these early sailing mishaps. The sea is now calm but the vessel lies in ruin. Luckily, all sailors escaped with only minor injuries 🙂
