Shred Kelly No3: by Brendan Walsh (ColdGhost)

Urban Art Pop mixed media Painting

Posters from the streets, recycled into Artworks for the home.

This original artwork is made using Recycled Street Posters collected off the Streets of Sydney and Melbourne & takes inspiration directly from Graffiti in City Laneways and billboards.

The main Iconic Image of Ned Kellys head was updated and given a modern inked bod, bringing Australia’s Original Masked man into our post pandemic mask wearing world.

The image was then further overlaid with lots of layers of paint and street posters to give a worn rustic appearance and a spray paint mask added.

The Artwork comes framed in black and ready to hang, and it is mounted under a clear acrylic sheet.

Some of my works are also inspired by Mexican Art and Outsider Art, and have Elements of Sacred Geometry & comment on modern society.
