Additional Information

Pamela was inspired by her trip to India and seeing the beautifully coloured saris on the elegant women of Rajasthan and the sisterhood connection that exists between them.

Watching the working women on the roads, Pam discovered that these women also wore their saris and still managed to look elegant, even with the hard, dusty roadwork.
Pam felt it her duty to paint a homage to these hard working women who still managed to enjoy their day, be part of a sisterhood and maintain their dignity.
If you look carefully you will notice the rough elbow on the end woman’s arm. It was included as a reference to the hard work endured.
To capture the look of the little mirrors sewn onto those vivid coloured saris, Pamela has added diamond-like studs to catch and reflect the light.

Pamela has used professional quality acrylic paint on stretched canvas, varnished and ready to hang.
