Six Flowers by Meg Shaw – exclusive to Art Lovers Australia.

This fluid art piece is an impression of a garden. ‘Six Flowers’ is inspired by English country gardens in the spring and summertime.

It is a hand worked, original, alcohol ink on yupo paper. There are no digital applications or brushes used to create this artwork. The colours are vibrant – pinks, greens, blues and oranges. My ink techniques uses the natural movement of the medium as it mixes with alcohol, or by blowing puffs of air onto the ink, or by tilting the paper, allowing the ink to run in the direction I want.

Alcohol is a difficult medium to work with and takes a lot of practice to perfect. Perfect may not be the right word, as I feel the end results are a mix of skill and happy accidents.

‘Six Flowers’ is unframed and framing behind glass is recommended.

The photos show the whole fluid art piece, close-ups and situ scenes. Please note: the situ shots are virtual and meant to show what the artwork might look like hanging, framed on a wall.

‘Six Flowers’ comes with a certificate of authenticity and can be sent directly to you by Auspost in a cardboard tube. As I live in rural Tasmania now, please allow a little more time for delivery. Thank you.
