Snowflakes on Magnolias by Kim Rees – Magnolias flowers are stunning and grand, lasting for only a few brief days in all their lush glory, they rightly deserve their place in the flower world. The flowers in this artwork are based on photographs from last seasons blooms in my garden, from bud to full blown flowers, for art lovers looking for a little calmness in their space with a little extra zing from traditional botanical artworks. The concept, as mentioned was for calm and show a little restraint (so difficult) for a change.

A large tonal oil and pen expressive semi abstract painting using 2 colours and white on 440gsm acid free gallery premium cotton canvas over heavy duty stretcher bars. Sides are painted white descending to the darker blue of the bottom of the painting. Supplied with D rings and double cord (more suitable for coastal hanging than wire). Framing is your choice though not necessary.

Signed on the back and shipped with a certificate of authenticity.

Opted to keep this artwork simpler, however if you like the look of the gum nuts in the smaller framed artworks I’m happy to add at no additional cost. Artwork will not be varnished until sale to allow maximum drying time.
