Soft Morning Sky by Sam Brett – This work is influenced by my ongoing interest in skies and atmosphere, particularly the quiet moments where colour is understated and movement is barely visible. I’m drawn to traditional landscape painting and Impressionist approaches to light, but I simplify the scene to focus on mood rather than place. The influence of artists like Turner and Constable can be seen in the softness and layering, while the minimal composition reflects a contemporary sensibility.
