Soft Power explores the quiet strength found in presence, vulnerability, and intuition. In this work, figures appear and dissolve within an ambiguous, dreamlike space — their relationships to one another uncertain, yet emotionally charged.

Created using a combination of flowing ink and thickly textured acrylic paint, each figure is treated differently: one rendered with delicate, fluid movement, while the other emerges more densely from the surface. These textural contrasts evoke shifting states of being — fragility alongside groundedness, emergence alongside disappearance.

The composition was developed intuitively, with figures placed by feel rather than plan. Layers of abstract colour effects were then added to create an atmosphere that is both surreal and softly immersive, blurring the line between internal and external worlds.

Soft Power invites the viewer to linger in this space of emotional ambiguity — a psychological interior where strength doesn’t shout, but resonates quietly beneath the surface.

With its subtle presence and rich textures, this piece offers both quiet impact and layered intrigue. It would suit a contemplative space — such as a bedroom, study, or entryway — where it can be appreciated slowly, inviting new interpretations over time.
