“Def: a song of parts”. Sonata in music is usually a classical structure of 3 or 4 parts. This abstract botanical is a gorgeous harmony of colour and movement, composed of 3-4 colours; pinks, siennas, blue-greens, and white and is inspired by the movement of breezy blooms, as if dancing to music…a sonata.

This style – my signature botanical style – has been so popular with many sales and commissions, and so many of my previous buyers say they see dancing ballerinas, fluttering wings, or floating feathers alongside the obvious floral blooms. What do you see?

This striking statement piece is bold yet has a soft fragility to it and would be a stunning focal point in any space. It has painted wrap around sides so is listed at an unframed price, however if you’d like it framed in natural timber, please get in touch.

It’s created with a combination of palette knives and brush strokes using acrylic impastos, and oil pastels. It is satin varnished and comes with a COA.
