Sonata by Fionna Madigan – ‘Sonata’ a delicate, subtle oil painting featuring pink and greys. A whimsical and romantic abstract set off with a black painted border. Ready to hang. I paint on primed Dibond which has excellent archival properties. The painted borders are an integrated part of the entire substrate (i.e. it’s not ‘separate’ ) creating a framed effect without the need for additional framing (although you are free to do so). The purpose of the border is to offer a window of aesthetic contemplation and a particular experience of perception.
