Gum Nuts are iconic elements of the Australian Landscape, there are so many varieties, unique shapes, colours and textures.  I am drawn to the way light plays on the rough surface of the gum nuts,

Eucalyptus trees are known for their ability to thrive in harsh conditions, and I wanted to capture the spirit of resilience in this painting.

I have added texture behind the gum nuts giving a wonderful rough feel to them compared to the smoothness of the leaves.

Another limited palette creation using mostly, greys, browns, greens and yellow on a natural linen background.

Framed in a raw oak float frame. Ready to hang.

It would suit a contemporary or classic setting.
