Spider Lilies of Summer by Clare Riddinton Jones – The Spider Lilies are flowering in my garden and all around the area and I just had to paint one. I find them a very attractive flower and their lovely curves made a great composition. The black background serves to highlight the form of the petals and stamens. It would make a dramatic statement in a small area of the home. The painting is acrylic and is finished with three coats of archival varnish. It can also be hung with the flower facing the side.
