Spritzer: by Brendan Walsh (ColdGhost)

Abstract Urban Painting

This original Mixed Media Artwork was created with washes of colour added to the canvas loosely to build up the abstract background. Once the canvas is completely covered with colour, smaller marks and details are added in layers, pulling the work together. For me, creating abstract artwork is purely about instinct and emotional expression.

This artwork continues my experimentation with using different techniques to apply the paint Sponges, rags, plastic, scrapers, paint pens, spray packs, stencils, pencils, in fact anything except brushes.

The artwork is a Abstract Statement piece and will give maximum impact to any room.

My art is directly influenced by Graffiti in City Laneways, Vintage Billboards and other weathered surfaces & is also inspired by my love of gestural abstraction and my obsession with using spray paint.

Insitu examples are not to scale.

The work comes on a quality canvas and is painted black around the edges and is ready to hang.
