This artwork depicts many flowers in a vase with a bright blue background on a red-orange table.  The positioning of the flowers in the painting are unique and bold.  Purple flowers are outlined in white for contrast. Emma is heavily influenced by Margaret Preston who uses block prints for her work.

This painting is a one-off, original stand-alone painting.  Overall the painting invites the onlooker to look at color and Still Life in a different way with the use of contrast, strong shapes and textured highlights.

The painting is 61cm height x 45cm width.  It is on stretched canvas and unframed.
