Sunburnt Country by David Clare – I started this painting with a very clear vision, the end result however is nothing like that vision. The original idea evolved into this painting after a lot of work, and re-work, building up textures and getting the colours just right. In the end I am very happy with it, a pleasant surprise after the initial disappointment that the first vision didn’t translate from my mind to the canvas.
