This painting is part of my imaginary landscape series in my favoured semi abstract style giving me the opportunity to enjoy fully saturated colours without the restriction of realism but not a seismic shift in perception. The implied luminance of a sunlit landscape with a little drama in the sky was a catalyst for ramping up the colours to an intensity I demanded as I worked far beyond my original idea.

The creative process of inspiration, visualisation leading to application of paint on a blank canvas and pushing energy throughout the work, refining colours and clarifying composition until I bring it all to a conclusion is my passion revealed.
