Sunny Beach by Sam Askin

Living on a beach, I make sure I snap some reference photo every time I am outside on the sand. Each day is a different day, and between the sky, the sand, the sea and the sun there is always something new to enjoy. The high contrast in the middle of teh day I captured in this work really caught my eye; the sea was a dark purple with blue highlights and the sun’s reflection was dominant. I can feel the heat of the day even as I look at the painting now!
