This type of sunset is my absolute favourite. Once the rain has come, the dust and particulates in the air have settled, and the colours in the sky are never more brilliant. Problem is, in the case of this beautiful sunset, it came the day after the devastating storm that recently ran through Gold Coast, QLD. I was present in the middle of the storm, and it was just like being in a significant cyclone. Houses and trees were torn apart, power grids need to be rebuilt, and people even lost their lives. As devastating as this is, what followed the next day were the stunning orange and yellows painted in this work. Every cloud has it’s silver lining, and every storm has its beautiful sunset the next day.
