About Art:

My artwork is a celebration of the natural world, with a particular focus on the dynamic beauty of the coast. Through the use of thick layers of oil paint and the impasto technique, I aim to create a tactile and immersive experience for the viewer. The textured surfaces of my paintings invite exploration, while the vibrant colours evoke the energy and vitality of the ocean.

In this piece, I have sought to capture the fleeting moment where a river meets the sea. The swirling currents and contrasting shades of blue and green convey the power and unpredictability of nature. The sandy beach, rendered in warm tones, provides a sense of stability and grounding amidst the turbulent waters.
