This amazing high resolution shot was taken using the renowned Sony FE 90mm Macro G OSS prime lens and flash on a whisper still night. With a veritable forest of really big Jacarandas, some big trunks, some twisting boughs, big regions of lilac purple Jacaranda petals at full blossom, and a little bit of night sky to give it shape, this photo has it all.

This night scene piece is best hung and displayed in a well lit area, especially if a smaller size is chosen. Whilst post-processing techniques can be used to “brighten” such photos, that spoils the night feel. Here, the night feel has been carefully preserved.
