Take A Moment by Sharon Rynehart

We all need to take a moment, or two…or a few. Life is a bit crazy right now, so much going on externally around us, but internally – we’re struggling. I know I am. You’re not alone. I can’t get to the coast and like many, we’re not sure when we’ll be able to again anytime soon. It seems so close – just over a giant winding mountain is the South Coast from Canberra, a mere 1 hr trip, but right now…it’s impossible to visit. So I keep painting it. Drawing on memories of past visits, some wonderful, and some not so wonderful; being caught in bushfires there on New Years Eve of 2020. But it’s come back to life. The headlands we visit that were back then tinged with orange fire, under skies of black ash, are now lush and green once more, a reminder that they withstood chaos and destruction…and we will too. Take a moment and reflect on all the good things still to come in our future, the things to look forward to, like visits to the coast again, in a post pandemic world.

This moody seascape of blues and greens and greys and sand is painted with a palette knife on artist quality stretched canvas. It is framed in a solid oak timber frame, satin varnished, and will come with a COA.

Thank you for stopping to ‘Take A Moment’…I hope it inspires you to keep doing just that.

NB: While every effort is made to capture the true colours and details of my artwork, every screen is different and art viewed online does not do my work justice. Slight differences may be evident between a screen image and the true tone of my work which is more vivid and beautiful in reality. Scale may also be slightly off due to the insitu art app used, so please ensure you measure your space. Thank you!
