Tangerine by Dodie Herman – The colours and hues of the rugged Australian landscape exploring my version of the Zorn palette – Burnt Umber, Vermillion and Yellow Oxide with white. Usually used in portrait painting to achieve skin tones it makes for beautiful colours in a landscape. I mostly used an old credit card to move paint on the canvas to achieve variations in colours, tones and forms, using brushwork to create a more consistent surface without hiding the marks.

Painted neatly white on the sides so will not require framing.
Signed on the back. Finished with two coats of varnish.

I do my best to photograph my artworks accurately, but due to differences in monitors and devices, colour and contrast may vary slightly.
