Tell Me What You Really Think by Elise Judd

This painting is inspired by the women of the silent screen film era. I wanted  a captivating work of art that truly captures the essence of the jazz and flapper age. The way the dark, mysterious green eyes stare out from the canvas draws you in, as if you are being transported back in time to the golden age of Hollywood.  In this painting the eyes are the only part that have a hint of colour (green with a slight blue outline)

The famous bob hairstyle, is beautifully depicted in this painting, adding to the overall feeling of glamour and sophistication that was synonymous with the era.

As you gaze at this painting, you can almost hear the sound of jazz music playing in the background, transporting you to a world of decadence and excitement.

The brushstrokes and limited colours used in this painting perfectly capture the mood and energy of the time, bringing to life a moment in history that will never be forgotten.  I wanted it to reflect those sepia photos and the silver screen film images of the time.

For anyone who loves the beauty and allure of the jazz age, this painting is perfect. It is will add elegance and sophistication to any collection.

As my background in partly in Textiles, I have made this piece as a wall hanging which means that it will come to you rolled in a tube with the poles included. (This makes the actual dimension 160cm wide, you could always decided to have it stretched onto a canvas if you prefer ) If you are using the poles to hang the work it will give a lovely effect with the picture hanging slightly off the wall and the effect of the shadows make can be a great visual addition.

This is a very adaptable piece of work as it comes with multiple hanging options and includes poles and D-rings on attachment fabric (optional to use). It is lightweight, making it easy to get upstairs and move around.

I have added one photo in the ‘Product Gallery’ section so you are able to visualise the scale and see one option of hanging the large work.

This piece is made in acrylic and charcoal.  It has been sealed and varnish for its protection.
