Terra Firma 3 View to Vault Hill Is my 3rd large Landscape painting in my Terra Firma series where I respond to my environment and has been evolving over the last few months.View to Vault Hill has been created using my own landscape photography reference photo.  As I have gotten older I have been drawn to and finding hills to be inspiring, in particular the crests..especially when they wear a crown of trees, alone but grounded seemingly full of self importance and confidence. In my mind as I paint and connect with these hills I am in fact grounding myself and gaining confidence as I, “Climb a  Lonely Hill” ! (title of a Lilith Norman book I read as a child). Maybe painting these Hills is my survival mechanism in these uncertain times. The initial inspiration for this series was loosely influenced by Fred Williams’ Upwey landscape of 1965.

Painted in quality Atelier acrylic paints and accented with Sennelier Oil Sticks, this artwork had been created on quality 12oz unstretched canvas meaning that it would be posted to you rolled in a tube. Ready for you to have it framed to your taste or stretched if you desire.
