Textured Ocean by Olga Megele – Textured Ocean sits as a piece that belongs to my repeating theme of journeys in our lives. The Ocean has always held me in its grip. A place of meditation and joy it always draws me close. The embedded strips of canvas are invisible barriers that were programed into us as children. They try to hold us back, our responsibility to ourselves is to push past these barriers and forge our own path.
This seascape contains beautiful, multiple layers of texture and colour. Truly more beautiful in real life. It glows with silver and many warm and cool blues. Broad confident strokes of the palette knife are evident. Texture has been created with areas of paint, muslin and strips of canvas, and thus has some 3d elements. It is a stunning piece that will constantly draw you in.

The sides are painted in a wrap around style which makes framing optional. Varnished to add an extra layer of protection and depth. Ready to hang.
