‘The Avenue’ by artist Stuart Ross is an original Oil Painting using photographic scenes of the streets of Paris for reference. This piece has been painted in his signature ‘Alla Prima’ style, inspired by international Artists such as Richard Schmid and in more recent times Casey Baugh. Ross has tried to capture a snap shot in time to create an ambience of the famous city, incorporating a narrative theme. In his painting style Ross has minimised the background features with bold intentional strokes, maintaining the foreground figure as his prime subject matter.
