Her robe – a flame that trails around –

In silent majesty.

The blossoms pale, in fingers white,

Like dreams she cannot keep,

And pearls uncoil – a ghostly light –

To lull her into sleep.

O Lady fair, where wilt thou glide?

What fate beneath thee sways?

The river flows, the ocean wide,

Dissolves thee in its haze.”
