The Cavers by Pamela Mitchell is an original acrylic and oil artwork inspired by my Sunday morning walk on a fire trail across a steep hill in a forested area. Monolithic rocks hang over the trail and as they catch the sunlight and shadows it almost brings them to life. I love this walk and always imagine who has been there and what they have seen.

Mostly I am on my own but occasionally other people are also enjoying the beauty of the area. The tiny figures you see entering the cave are a figment of my imagination and I included them to give scale to the work.

I find nature always inspires peace and comfort in my life.

This artwork is framed with a floating frame to set it off fully.
