Additional Information

The Crossing by Pamela Mitchell is an original acrylic artwork. It was inspired by a trip to the countryside near me in the Noosa Hinterland. Most people only visit the seaside when coming to Noosa and never realise how beautiful the hinterland beyond Noosa is. There are lakes and waterfalls and rocky crossings and little nooks that inspire any artist, like me, to pick up a brush and create a new artwork.
I loved the play of light on the water reflecting the blue sky above, against the rough hewn rock. Rock that has been sculptured by the water in years past.
The hanging vine brought images in my mind, of Tarzan swinging across the space calling to the wild.
These natural creeks and crossings lend themselves to all sorts of imaginings and takes the artist to a different place.
