The Escape is inspired by the pulp detective magazines that were popular from 1930s to the 1950s – Jane has appropriated a cover of a woman in evening dress and put her in a forest with a huge blue iguana looking on. A mystery is created for the viewer, who wonders why she is scrambling over a log in the dense forest in evening dress – from what or who is she escaping?

Painting measures 61cm x 76cm x 3.8cm. It is an original acrylic painting on high quality Create Art stretched canvas with a pine support. Ready to hang with d-rings and picture wire.  Jane will courier in sturdy cardboard box.

Jane is a well-known Brisbane artist who has been finalist for Lethbridge 10,000, Rotary Art Spectacular, Moreton Bay Art Awards, Noosa Art Award, and Stanthorpe Art Prize. She has also exhibited at various Brisbane and Gold Coast galleries. Her paintings are in private collections worldwide.
