The fascinator by Margaret Connell. The fascinator was inspired by Margaret’s enjoyment of painting faces and here to represent one of the types of headgear women adorn their heads with. The light colours were used to represent the lightness of the subject . Italian primed canvas was stretched over à frame and the primed again to ensure the canvas was taut. Fine quality oil was used and a fine gel applied to seal the painting. D hooks have been applied and the painting is ready to hang.
