This unusual old tree I discovered while walking in a park in the country. It was so twisted yet solid with huge holes ready for the inhabitants that I was inspired to paint it.

I could imagine little creatures going into and out of those spaces like you would an apartment building. I continued to picture these tenants as I painted the image in my mind. What would they talk about? Would they have families? Would they like their neighbours? A little story that absorbed me while I created. I hope you can imagine this too when you look at my artwork.
