This canvas has had many lives. I almost gave up on it. I struggled to receive and generate any images I was comfortable with.

I tried thick paint, thin washes, turning it upside down and even applying a medium that crackles the surface.

Finally an image came through that I was kind of happy with however I started to paint over the head when I noticed it was looking like a head piece…

What was cool about that was we were watching a Danish TV series that evolved around a mythical entity called the Hare King.. so I acknowledged that my subconscious was ruling on this painting and there it is.
