This painting resulted from an experiment in which Margaret Connell mixed cruches eggshells in acrylic paint to create texture.The subject was chosen for the purpose of the experiment and the colours chosen to create vibrancy to the image. Canvas was stretched over a frame and the surface was gessoes .Acrylic paint was used and on completion the painting was sealed with a satin finish. D hooks are applied to the back so ready for hanging but there is no outer frame. The painting is original.
