The Last Hurrah, Winter’s Call by Julia Chuquis – Before the last leaves fall, they display their splendour so we remember their beauty until we see them again.
In creating “The Last Hurrah, Winters Call” I hoped to embody this transition. I used the vibrant colours seen in the last leaves of Autumn, with a composition reflecting movement to portray energy and organic shapes to represent the leaves falling. For me life is eternal and ever changing just like the leaves of a tree.

This artwork is textured using the highest artist quality oil paint.
