‘The Magic Gate’ (25.4.23) is an emblematic example of my visionary landscape idiom—one that fuses semi-abstraction with ecological poetics. Here, a crimson arch—a recurring liminal motif—beckons the viewer into a forested matrix rendered in kaleidoscopic colour and form. Evocative of Cubist fracture yet rooted in contemporary environmental sensibility, the work proposes that nature is not merely backdrop but pedagogy: a living text offering signs of belonging and renewal. In its interlacing of spiritual architecture and vegetal rhythm, ‘The Magic Gate’ reaffirms my concern with thresholds, guidance, and the phenomenology of presence. There is a gentle mysticism at work here, couched not in the esoteric but in the biological, evolutionary truth that our bodies and minds find sanctuary in forests and water. With abstraction that echoes an environmental ethos at its core, the painting whispers: “you are exactly where you are meant to be.”
