The Moo-dy Cow by Sam Askin

Wildlife will never be my specialty or most painted subject, but sometimes you have to make an exception. I have been a bit grumpy, not able to really connect with my reference photo list to get inspiration for the next painting. Sometimes, though, you just have to paint! I always end up enjoying myself when I do. This cow (my sister has been pushing me to paint a cow for a while now) had a look about it that perfectly summed up my attitude towards finding a reference photo at the time… so the moo-dy cow became the reference itself! I’m sure we can all relate to being the moo-dy cow at some point!
