‘The Nut, Stanley Tasmania’ – Rock and Country Series by Julie Dynan – An original acrylic landscape painting

I love painting Australian landscapes. I painted this artwork with inspiration taken from a trip to Tasmania and my photos. We did a hike up to the top of the Nut and followed the walking tracks all around the top. The township is so quaint and sits into the base of this magnificent rock. I have used some texture so it is beautiful and tactile. I spent a great deal of time on this landscape to bring it to life, especially in adding the homes at the base which I really enjoyed. I love to create colourful rocky cliff faces with the lovely earthy colours & in this landscape the addition of some lovely gardens around the beautiful homes including a magnificent bluestone cottage

I have used palette knives & brush work to create this unique artwork
