The OG (Brigette Bardot)

by Brendan Walsh AKA ColdGhost

Urban Art Pop mixed media.

This original artwork is made using Vintage 1970’s Wallpaper Street Posters & it takes inspiration directly from Graffiti in City Laneways. This background was then overlayed with Acrylic Paint, Sugar Spray Packs.

  • Then the main Image of 60’s Fashion Icon Brigette Bardot was then added and further overlaid with paint to give the image a worn rustic appearance.

The Artwork comes Framed in Black and ready to hang, and it is mounted under a clear acrylic sheet.

This artwork has a textured finish created by built up layers, paint splatters and torn paper, a visual effect mimicking the look you would see in the street where this effect is created over time. These imperfections are part of the overall look and feel of the finished work.

My artworks play around with Identity and Gender and some of my works are also inspired by Mexican Art and Outsider Art, and have Elements of Sacred Geometry & comment on modern society.
