Additional Information

Original retro Wild West acrylic painting on Create Art professional stretched canvas with a pine backing. It is ready to hang with d-rings and picture wire, and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity. Jane’s painting depicts a female outlaw on a rearing horse in an alien Mars-like landscape.   It pays homage to the Hollywood Western movies of the 1940s and 1950s where hardened men and women battled to survive in a hostile and lawless environment.   Many of the outlaws in USA transitioned to lawman and sometimes back again – and the line between right and wrong became very blurred.

Jane is a well-known Brisbane artist who has been finalist for Lethbridge 10,000, Rotary Art Spectacular, Moreton Bay Art Awards, Noosa Art Award,  and Stanthorpe Art Prize.  She has also exhibited at various Brisbane and Gold Coast galleries. Her paintings are held in private collections worldwide.
