It was on a trip to India that I saw this potter working on his wheel. It was such a peaceful setting with the artisan quietly concentrating on his work, not bothering about the total chaos of the area surrounding him.

I felt I had to capture the quality of his devotion and focus.

I worked initially in acrylic on stretched canvas then used oil paint to accentuate and to add texture to the work.
